XP Activation Question

I have two copies of XP Pro and 2 machines. I am building a third and XP Pro for that is in the mail to me. Is it possible to use one of the copies I have now on the third machine? I will have 3 licenses come Tuesday. Or will that activation trip me up?
TIA

Disclaimer: They are all legit and I am not trying to get away with anything. I just rather set the machine up tonight than wait till Tuesday night.

But...doesn't he have to enter the product key at the time of install?

Maybe it can be changed to the new key in the registry before activation?

Edit -- Curses! Foiled again!

you can use one of the other 2 keys. Since you have 60 days to offically register your copy. When you call they will tell you how to change your key, it's actually just an option in the reg program if I recal correctly.

Just install it and then call them and tell them you changed a few components. They will give you a key to enter manually.

It is pretty easy to change your XP key after install. read this.. Once you have your real key, then activate it.

edit: I haven't tried this, and it claims to be for legitimate corp users, so it might not work for "regular" XP Pro.

While this might work. Simply install the software using one of your currenent license codes. When you get the new code, start the activation process like normal. Click on activate by phone. At the very bottom of this page will be a button that says something to the effect of "change product id". Click on this and you will be prompted to input your new license id.
This will regenerate the code for activation and you can activate the product with no problems! I have done this many times for new computer builds...
