I thought XP was supposed to be this great OS. I'm not saying it's not. The performance is great. But if i leave it on for too long i have to reboot or it starts to act funny. I could leave win98 running for weeks and this wouldn't happen. Any suggestions?

Could you give a little more description to what you mean by "act funny"?

How about some more details. Are you talking Dennis Miller funny or Tom Green funny?

Sorry, i thought i put this in there. For instance after a couple of hours I can no longer connect to the internet without rebooting. Also there is a general slow down in the performance. Then it gets to a point where each time i double click it acts like i only right clicked. Should I just try a fresh install of winXP?

I?m bumping this because of similar issues with XP.
After some time programs become very sluggish, just like W98 and the memory leak issues. Even after a fresh boot the system will regularly pause for 5-10 seconds.
I have a new Dell system designed for XP, 512mb ram, 1.7ghz ect??with the latest updates from MS.
Has anyone had and solved this problem?

Thanks????
