XP & A7V

My A7V has a promise Raid controller (light) installed and I run two 30gb drives off it.

Worked well under Win2000, but have had no end of problems since installing a clean copy of XP on it.

ANyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be? I suspect that XP does not have correct drivers but as of today I've been unable to get anything better.
