XP-90's @ Xoxide For $26.25!!!

What's the best fan to use with this heat sink?

Edit: According to the Thermalright website, the recommended fan is the Panaflo FBL09A12M 92MM fan. And, yes, this heat sink is compatible with ""Athlon64 FX 3200+ (socket 939/940) /Athlon64 3200+ (socket 754) and above"

How does this compare to those Zalman CNPS7000-CU and others by Zalman posted earlier in the Hot Deals section?

I'll wait for an XP-120 @ that price, but a hot deal nonetheless

The difference in cooling performance between the XP-120 and XP-90 are pretty small, so unless you're at the edge temperature wise, the XP-90 is an excellent choice (and at least $30 cheaper). Also, the XP-120 has compatibility issues with many MBs.

I believe the earlier poster was asking about his Athlon XP2100+ (which is not an Athlon64). This heatsink is NOT compatible with Socket A. It is compatible with all Athlon64 sockets plus socket 478.

If you want Socket A Thermalright, check out the SI-90

Yes. An excellent deal. I ordered one. Thanks.

It better be a good cooler. 😀
How is it compares to the Swiftech MCX4000?
Thanks.

I think this is rated the second best HSF (or perhaps is tied for second with the Zalman 7700 series HSFs, which are 120mm units) after the XP-120.

It IS somewhat louder than the 120mm units, but not terrible.

I picked one up from SVC for a 64 rig and it looks (just like all of their coolers) like a good product. I put in next to their old 900 and it is twice the size and about half the weight. I think this would perform just as well as the XP120 with one more heatpipe.
I think a review said it runs a couple degrees warmer than it's big brother.

Looks like the coupon takes a percentage off the entire order, not just the HS! Sweet!

It's a percentage off he part of the order associated with the HS. So if you get a fan with it it's ~ 33% off the fan too, but not other items in your cart. Thought I might be able to score an amazing deal on a case, but no dice.
