I am so glad you asked. Going on my XP-90C, Delta EFB0912LE,92x38,57cfm. Starts and runs well at 4V,BB. Exhaust for case Delta EFB0912HHE,79cfm, all else same as above.

Source=sidewindercomputers.com or epowerhousepc.com

After bench testing comperable Panaflos to these Deltas...I'm selling the Pans. Using a Delta Triple Blade in 120x38 for case intake. Great fans. At full song the voice is deep and not irritating to my ears. They under volt so well it blew my mind. No rumble when undervolted with a Sunbeam Rheobus.

Nexus is a sleeve bearing fan. Extremely quiet, but you suffer cfm's at the cost of its low noise. The Delta's are very nice fans and readily available as Galv suggested. Delta imo is really making an effort to manufacture top quality fans. If you want to spend an arm and a leg than Acoustifan is highly reviewed unit....is a BB fan with very good "quiet" properties, but again at the cost of airflow. Sharka sells them for around $20 a pop!

GY,
My XP-90 came with fan clips for an 80mm and for 90/92mm 25mm thick fans. The clip for the 92mm x 25mm fan fits snug. How is the fit with the Delta 92mm x 38mm fan? Do you happen to have this Panaflo fan? Link Comparison to Delta? It has about the same specs as the Delta fan but 25mm thick.

Thanks for the info Mucker.
I bought the retail version of the XP-90. It came with a 92mm x 25mm Thermalright? fan rated at 45CFM @2400rpm & 35dBA. I should have bought the OEM version and a better fan.

Anyone using a Thermaltake Silent Cat 90mm fan, 52.2CFM @2500rpm, 21dBa, with the XP-90?

After the experiance of going around the block with you in the lapping thread, it won't happen here.

The clips fit just about the same on both. Just tried them both on for size.

Specs are close on the two fans in question. The Delta 38mm weights a touch more and draws 1mm more H2O than the Pan. Both have a tach. The Delta is BB and will run well @ 4V on a Sunbeam Rheobus.
My opinion only: At full song the Pan sounds like Elton John having a bad day. The Delta Triple Blade at full song is like Richard Burton reading the Dictionary. This is subjective but after bench testing both, along with some other fans for nearly an hour it's my very firm opinion.
The XP-90C is on a P4 3.4e and i will OC the living snot out of it,as best i can w/3200 ram.
So a Delta Triple Blade 92x38 rated @ 79cfm is to be put on it, another will be for case exhaust. Both will start and run silently @ 4V. A DTB 120x38 will serve as an intake fan.
It starts and runs @ 6.5V with just a touch of rumble, that clears at about 7.5V. A Pan 120x38 high output does not even get close. As i tested these two also. The 120x38 Pan rumbles in protest at low voltage and screams at 12V. It does not have a tach and is rated at 115cfm. The DTB has a tach wire and 147cfm and draws more mm's of H2O. This strong fan is needed to pull through a real air filter.

The 57.8cfm DTB has been modded onto a 460watt PSU as an external fan with an aluminum addapter. The PSUs thermal control is set at 8.13V. At 18" the fan can not be heard in the still of a late night. The stock fan had that high speed scream that a
2.64 watt 80mm does, even at 8.13V.

These high output fans don't scare me because they undervolt exteamly well. I will redo my testing in several days using a Ventec PWM controller that just goes down to 7V, just out of curiosity. Sunbeam Rheobus all the way! PWM sucks!

There you go! Chose your partner and dance well.

I bought Panaflo after believing what others have posted. The only fans i will select from now are Delta Triples in 25 & 38mm thick or ADDAs with HYPRO bearings.
Pans will get consideration when a 15mm thick fan is needed.

Thanks GY. Never at a loss for words. I've got a Sunbeam Rheobus on the way from Jab-Tech. If you haven't thought of it already, here's Silentpcreview's fix for those bright LEDs. Link

Panaflo at low voltage tend to make a clicking sound, dunno if its due to the low power and it sputtering for power who knows. Delta works great for undervolting high quality bb's, check out Sanyo Denki very high quality like the lexus of fans. Run very smooth at low voltage. Most require modification due that most are ribbed to fit. Need to chop to fit on xp's clips. Alpha stands beside Sanyo Denki for a good reason. Can't go wrong with Sanyo Denki only problem is finding em :)

I'm interested in those Delta's but Sidewinder is out of the slow 120mm variants and the 2nd source you listed doesn?t seem to exist?

To a member that shows a profile and offers access to PM, I offer a humble appology.

It's epowerhousepc.com..(no www)..epowerhousepc.com/

I needed the Hi-output 120x38 and sidewinder was OoS and found epowerhousepc via Google/Froogle. They don't communicate or ship as fast as sidewinder but it was packaged well and the shipping was not padded. It arrived boxed and wrapped in bubble plastic.

I have not streached the truth about how well these fans undervolt. My next project is to make a silent rig out of the P4 2.8 on an Intel board.

Look closely at the specs of the 120x25 compared to the 120x38,both in low speed.
The 38 will draw .02 more amp, produce 3 more dB but pulls 1.4 more mm of H2O.
Since they undervolt so well, the 38 would be my choice for the silent Intel(hot) rig.
Plus, i do use air filters and they will load-up a fan on the suction side. Really quiets them down.

No need to applogize.

I'm not sure on all the details yet but I'm going to be helping a friend with a high-end 939 build with noise being a prime concern. We will probably go with a XP-90 or SI-120 and perhaps one of those Deltas, too bad they aren't a bit cheaper.

Seems like a nice little store btw.
