Gigabyte motherboards dont fit the XP-90 coz of the plastic back plate. XP-90 doesnt come with back plate. So does the DFI mobo has non-standard back plate(plastic).

Im buying it off from newegg, i can afford a back plate, thermalright says on $ 3.

The only reason i choose this HSF is coz its very very light compared to my Zalman so its less of a worry when moving the casing. If ther is a back palte problem, ill just have to buy a Zalman again.

OMG! u've been a gr8 help dude, brilliant 😛

Im asking if the mobo comes with a plastic non-standard plate? if it does it wont fit my XP-90.

pretty sure plastic but who cares. your board is compatible. if you look at Thermalright's site the Gigabyte k8 is the ONLY board they know of that isn't.

Hey dude, how much space is left b/w the XP-90 and the AGP slot. Is it large enough to fit a VGA card with Zalman ZM-HP80D ??? Tell me how much space is left. appox in inches.

The Gigagyte MB is supported by the XP 90 but needs a special plate .. it looks metal to me. There sire has instructions on how to mount them.
