Good heatsink, ordered one with a zalman fan for my HTPC today :) Have the same combo in my main system and it's doing a great job.

I would read the last few posts in this thread before buying from SVC, especially if you plan on using USPS shipping:

It has been 7 days now that my credit card has been charged and they still havent shipped my order or responded to my email.

I ordered some AS5 from them almost 2 weeks ago still nothing damn mofos. It was via priority as well :(

strange, i ordered some too plus some rounded cables like on last wed. and I got them in yesterday.

yes and it's much better that way honestly. depending on the user you can get the right 92mm fan (silent with adequate airflow - medium medium - or high speed high performance).

FWIW, I ordered an XP-90 and a 92mm fan from them the last time they ran this deal. It did take them a little while to ship my order (probably 3-4 days after it was placed), but the charge to my account was correct and I did receive my order a little over a week after I'd placed it (UPS ground shipping). I'd certainly consider ordering from them again.

Mine was ordered yesterday via USPS and it shipped that day (got the confirmation this morning). Always had good luck with them, will see :)

Deal dead :( It's $34.99 now.

I was just wondering why the bare HS is 24.99 and it's 34.99 with the fan the other day

I'm using the stock hs/f that came w/ my P4 1.6A northwood. Will this xp-90 + decent fan make a significant change in the cpu's temp?

I'm at 48*C idle (thats what it says when it boots up) :( God only knows how much when active.

An all copper model that supposedly cools better than the xp120! That thing must weigh a LOT!

edit: ~1.52lbs

Well just because it is copper does not mean it cools better actually I think this is a marketing SCAM as the XP 90 and XP 120 Both have Nickel plated copper cores and maybe even the pipes themselves as the rest the HS itself is aluminum. the Copper takes in heat better and the aluminum dissapates better that is why swiftec has always used this combo.

Even Zalmans the AlCu and the Cu ones are just about the same in cooling.

another reason to get the XP-90 or the 120 like I have have is the Weight. the XP-120 is very very light. if you have a p4 especially you want the lower weight HSF so not to kill the retention bracket. an XP-120C would break that mofo off.

I don't like SVC anymore they have CC billing problems, slow delivery, and questionable service. jab-tech.com is getting my biz.

Not a scam, those who have compared them so far say that the temps have improved.

And just an update, no problems with svc+usps here - got mine in 2 days (a day ahead of schedule), although something dosen't seem "right" with this one - the base is nowhere near as smooth as my other xp90, all of the fins have a dull finish (also unlike my other), and it seems to weigh less! The clips also are nowhere near as tight (easier to install), although I don't know if thats good or bad since the last one was a hard install. Seems like the quality has gone down on this last run of them.

I have a Panaflo FBA09A12H although Thermalright recommends the FBL09A12M. I suppose I can use a fan controller or drop the voltage via a molex repin.

I tried to use the coupon code for the XP-90 without the fan, and it did not work. To add insult to injury the website still says that its $24.99 with a coupon, if anyone knows of a coupon that works for it, please pm me.

I called and talked to a CSR, he treated me like a complete @ss! I spent thousands of $$ last year at SVC, and this has left a slightly sour taste in my mouth.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide
