I just installed it on my second hard drive and so far I've been pretty impressed from the limited amount of time I've had on it. Drivers were a pain in the to install, but everything's workin great now.

Anybody else running this os? Is it safe to use most of the time?

A lot of people that are using it say they can't see why it isn't released for sale, as far as stability.

Lack of driver support atm. is one significant issue - people are used to Windows drivers being there for their hardware - the public beta forces that issue a little however

I'm running it without any stability problems so far but lack of sound drivers have kept me from using it as my primary OS. It seems faster, even though that probably sounds really weird.

OT: The quote in your sig is technically inaccurate, and displays the ignorance of the person who said it. Acceleration at 1G is 9.8m/sec squared. Makes a big difference...

What NICs are you using?

I can't find drivers for my Intel NIC (big suprise), 3Com, or even the onboard VIA NIC.

I'm using the Realtek Gigabit controller...I had to boot into regular Windows and get the amd64 drivers from their website.

I too can not get sound drivers working. I tried just about everything too.

I found a driver for my ownboard NIC, it was a 3com actually. Windows update seems to be broken though.

Yea windows update doesn't work. It made me wonder is security an issue? I know there are tons of 32-bit security updates...why none for the 64-bit?

Because its beta software.

You don't put security updates in beta software. If its something that needs an update, then you file that in your next
bug report and hopefully it will have a fix built in to in the next build of the beta.
