xp 64 bit benefits??

I'm your average user I guess:
- Play some games
- Do some office stuff
- bit of coding
- bit of multimedia

I haven't noticed any differences, other than a few nuisances TBH. Some of the apps I used to use don't run on 64-bit XP, or didn't until recently.

I'm sorta in same boat (have another post about XP 64b and gaming), and wondering is the "ability to utilize 4gb" over XP 32bs ~3gb really worth it.

I don't need anymore compat / driver issues...specially when you get into the "non mainstream" driver releases that are done / found in the general public...

My main question being will 4gb 64b be *Faster* (again, from a gaming standpoint) than ~3gb 32b. 😛 hopefully this answer will come out clearly somewhere.

If you're looking for a faster feel, you'd be better off upgrading your hardware. I can't really think of any reason to use XP x64 besides being able to utilize more RAM.
