When I was browsing pricewatch I saw that quite a few sites are selling the Barton 3200 for a mere $137. I didn't think that it would be that cheap anywhere, yet. At pcdirect.com (reputable as far as resellerratings.com shows) the oem is $137 while the retail is $199???

I also noticed that the clock speeds they list at that site are inconsistent. It lists both the 3200+ and 3000+ as 2.1G. Their retail counterparts are clocked at 2.163 and 2.167, respectively. The retail 3000 is faster than the retail 3200??? Are there versions that I should stay away from or are these sites duping customers by selling overclocked procs?

Probably are advertising wrong. Pricewatch is bad for letting companys get away with false advertisen. People on anandtech told me go with a MOBILE cpu ... It had the multiplyer unlocked. So my 2600+ is up to 2.45 and could be higher but my motherboard is a POS.

No, the 3000+ is available at either 333 or 400 FSB, but the 3200 is 400 FSB only.

I haven't seen a 3000+ with 400 mhz fsb. I thought the only 400mhz fab barton was the 3200+
