My friend is all hyped about the xp 3000 hes getting what kind of Seti WU production can you get from 1 of these?

2 hours is probably right, unless he overclocks the snot out of it! My 1700+ @2300mhz is doing an average of 2:15.

My brother just built a new P4 with the 3.06Ghz Intel chip... I can't convince him to put Seti in his system to see what the times are.... the rat.....

nice system though... 1 gig of dual channel mem..... he went all out.... spent over 3 grand for it....

... that's ok.. I'll just keep on crunching with my AMD XP1600+....

🙂

I am building an XP2800+ for my employer (the guy who signs the checks) for his home use. I plan to burn it in with SETI while it's here.

XP2800+ 333
A7N8X Deluxe
512MB PC2700 DDR
Seagate 'cuda 80GB

Will report on times (I should have it here running for a few days at least, possibly a week.)

I recommend all you Athlon SETI people find someone in D2OL or TSC with an equivalent P4 and work on each other's projects. P4s seem to be somewhat better at SETI than Athlons, but Athlons are far better at the other projects than at SETI.

Hmm, I find that it takes a seriously fast P4 rig to beat my SETI times ,I bet their aren't too many of those😉
Anyway ,wouldn't feel right not to run SETI on my main rig😛.............well ok I run a little DAPD on it🙂

XP1700 @2.05GHz ,Asus A7N8X,Crucial PC2700 (2x256) ,dual channel mode ,178MHZ CAS 2.5-2-2-6
2hrs 26-29mins/0.417 WU 🙂
