Why can I not change the clock multiplier in my bios in an a7n8x deluxe for a 2800 chip?

I have tried 12.0 12.5 13.0 13.5. 12.5 works becuase it is the stock one. All the others will not let me computer boot after i set them. All tired at 166fsb. Tried 12.0 at 185 mhz, didnt work.

Is ther a way around this? Something ez to do? Is this normal? Are some 2800's unlocked?
