Hey, I was wondering what the top 266 FSB Cpu was, I was told & always thought it was the XP 2600+, but evrywhere I go they always mention the "333FSB XP 2600+", I thought originally the 2700 & 2800's were the first 333FSB ones until the 2500 came along, wasn't there an XP that was available in both 266 & 333 for awhile, was that the 2600?

I need to know cause I want something a little faster for my board, than what I got now, an XP2200+, & was hoping to get maybe a 2600, but if all I can get is a 2400 ( don't want to do any OCing right now) then I might as well upgrade my mobo & see about getting a barton instead & make the upgrade really worth it.

Hey Thanks Gonad, I didn't even know another amd chip existed ("thorton") only new about the newer Bartons & the 64's, I bookmarked the link you provided, & will have to read the additional links on that page tommorrow, but this looks like a strong possibility for an upgrade on my system, providing I don't need a bios update, I might be able to stretch a little more life & performance out of the existing board (only had it for a little over a year), especially if I could unlock the extra L2 cache, that would be pretty cool, even better yet I might be able to up the fsb to 333, just the thought of that other chip has got me thinking about possibly OC the mobo's fsb & stuff.
