There are now
FOUR flavors of the Athlon XP 2600+ for Desktops:
Model 8 AMD XP 2600+ 266FSB with 256K L2 @ 2133MHz (Thoroughbred "B")
Model 8 AMD XP 2600+ 333FSB with 256K L2 @ 2083MHz (Thoroughbred "B")
Model 10 AMD XP 2600+ 266FSB with 256K L2 @ 2133MHz (Thorton)
Model 10 AMD XP 2600+ 333FSB with 512K L2 @ 1916MHz (Barton)
The top one is the original XP 2600+ @ 2133MHz which is the maximum CPU that many 266FSB mainboards "officially" support (e.g. KT266/A, KM266, KT333, SIS735, SIS745). The latest is the 2600+ based on the Thorton core @ 2133MHz.
Never heard of a 2600+ Thorton?? 2400+ is the highest Thorton available according to AMD's processor documentation on Model 10 with 256KB L2 Cache (Thorton). But I know for a fact that 2600+ Thortons exist, because
I currently have 30 of them. Want to buy one? lol!
Here is a close-up of the OPN:

I'm actually pissed because I specifically ordered the T-Bred ("AXDA") but apparently they shipped these by mistake.
