XP 1800+ stock HSF - who makes it? Loud?

AFAIK, AMD uses Taisol heatsinks. They are quiet compared to most Athlon heatsinks, but not as quiet as an Alpha PAL8045 mated with a 80mm Panaflo L1A fan.

Just unpacked a new XP1700+, it has a coolermaster-

The fan isn't terribly loud, but you will hear it....

Yeah, the XPs seem to come with Coolermaster HSFs. I personally do not like coolermaster HSFs, there is quieter better performing stuff out there.

Yeh, Sundog, but the price is right and they get the job done. They also don't clog as readily as some of the thin fin coolers and keep the warranty intact.
