XP 180 day evaluation

Well I went ahead and loaded it on my system and so far so good. I now have a question on what happens on day 180? Do I rollback automatically to my old OS (WINME). If I buy a copy of XP can I just install it over this?
I wish I had thought of these before I loaded it in but I was having OS problems and it seemed like a good idea at the time!

It seems to me that Microsoft released a utility for Win2K Evaluation copies allowing you to turn them into normal versions if you had a Windows 2000 disc. They will probably do the same thing for XP.
