* I have no clue why X-isle crashes to the desktop with an error. It always crashes on cubemapping and I have the feeling that my geforce 4 is dying. There are gray blocks in the benchmarks at 184/185fsb and crashes. Also right before the crash, the textures on screen will flicker. Enabling v-sync didn't help and should not be turned on for benchmarking anyway. I tried the 30.82 drivers, and it hard locked in the first two seconds of the demo. All the other FSb tests though, there were no problems.

** I was/am getting tired of benchmarking. It was ~100mhz gain from the previous benchmark and I saw no fit to run the benchmark. I tried to run at 195 fsb and a higher speed of mhz but the system would not boot or load into windows. I know I need more vdd voltage and better cooling BUT I will not do either mod. I am perfeclty happy with 180fsb, memory at 100% and good timings. For $64, this chip is amazing! It has been a pleasure doing a fist "real" ocing adventure

Thanks to Thugs for the format

Nice overclock:)

If your doing 2035MHz at 1.6v vcore then you can be certain it'll go higher:)
Why not raise the multiplier & see how high it'll go?:D

Btw my XP1700 Tbred @2052MHz ,1.7v :)
Will do 2173MHz but it takes 1.85v to do that & it gets about 7c hotter!:Q

@185 fsb with default vcore I raised the multiplier to 12.5. Computer would post but windows would not load. I had to set vcore to 1.800 to boot into windows. That was my limit on vcore as it overvolts a little bit. My temps were in the middle 50s.. but Prime 95 crashed after 5-10 mins. I lowered my memory timings to 6,3,3,cas2 and still could not run prime 95 for long. I had hit my limit it seemed

800mhz oc on an AMD chip rocks....good job!!!!

Is the fsb limited on that board??? No way to make board run 200fsb with a lower multiplier???

My 1700+ B that I got as a refurb from newegg with an $8 cooler is running at 2200MHZ right now......

Refurb 1700+ B $35
Coolermaster heatsink/fan $8

800 MHZ overclock PRICELESS!!

:p:cool:

I am gonna try 11.5,11 X 200 and 11,11.5 X 195 later today.

Maybe the vdd voltage will be enough
