I just bought an XP 1700+ processor.

The code on the chip is : -

AXDA1700DLT3C 9391567251925
JIUHB0310WPMW 1999 AMD

Thats the numbers on the chip ive heard that some chips are better than others - what do you think of this 1 .

I am hoping that i will get about 2000mhz/2400 mhz out of it.

DLT3C is a good one. Though it's not guaranteed to go as high as others so it's still a gamble. I don't suspect you'll have problems reaching 2ghz. As for pack dates, week made, and all that other stuff is whatever to me. Congratulations, where'd you pick that chip up?

You wouldnt belive how i got that chip.

Ive been looking for a UK based online shop that would supply me with a good 1700+ chip , and to my complete surprise theres only 1 PC shop in my area that does computer parts and they had only 1 1700+ left.

Thats the last place i thought id get 1 , about 5 minute walk from my house.:D

0310WPMW is one of the better 1700+'s. You can ask Shimmishim for information on how high his 0310WPMW went. I have one too...

I have an 0308 that is running 2.1Ghz no sweat. Only put it in the other night so I'm not at the limit yet.

Oh, btw, www.cpucity.co.uk guarantee codes and steppings. I have posted about these guys before. It's where I got my jewel from.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that is the chip that Shimmishim is getting 2500mhz out of! Your chances of getting 2400mhz is way above average with that stepping.

Hi ,

Right now im running that chip @ 12.5 x 166 = 2088.06 MHz @ 1.625 vCore.

Can someone recommend some usful settings that they use which should work .

ohh btw what would be the maximum vCore i should use so i dont crank it up too high.

Whoa...Why such a high vcore? 12.5x166 should run stable at 1.5 vcore, unless your mobo is overvolting +0.125...

For a while excaliberpc was selling wmpw and xmpw seperately and the wmpw would run about $6-7 more. Is it a better chip? I though all 0310's were hot.

Is your 8rda+ an old version? Can you not get to 200fsb? It seems you should be able to get higher than you are now.

12.5x166 is 2600+ speed... keep that OC going! BTW, the 2600 runs 1.65V stock, so I'd say he's not at too high of a voltage there. I'd say crank the voltage until the chip gets too hot (55C is a good temp to stay under, IMHO) but 1.85 is a good stopping point. All this 1700+ OCing is making me feel like an idiot for buying a 2600+ when they launched the 333 FSB models...

EDIT: was mistaken on the 2600's stock voltage fixed the boo-boo
