I got an Athlon XP 1700+ because I killed my 1.1GHz T-bird. Anyway, my motherboard the MSI K7T Pro, recognizes the processor only as a 1.1GHz Athlon. I would like to know if there is any way to get it to either recognize it as a 1700+, or run it at least 1.4GHz? Any help would be appreciated!

your FSB is at 100MHZ... the multiplier on xp1700 (1463/1470mhz) is @ 11.0

its probably a JUMPER on the mobo...

Zim, I don't have a Subscriber account, and I will not because I would have to pay, so is it possible to post the answer here in this thread?

Thanks!

The MSI K7T Pro is a 100Mhz FSB only board(VIA KT133 chipset) ,you can use 133mhz ram running at 100mhz but not running at 133mhz FSB.Also no multiplier adjustment for the CPU in Bios.

Thanks, I knew that this mobo does not support a 133MHz bus or adjustable multipliers, but I was just being hopeful that there might be some way to work around this.
