XP-120 on MSI K8N Neo4 SLI Platinum

Anyone know if this will fit? I heard the Neo4 Ultra fits but you lose DIMM1.

I'll be running 2x512 OCZ Rev2 in dual channel so I will need 2 DIMMs and would like to OC a bit as well.

You will loose the 1st dimm slot. The heatpipes have to go towards the RAM slots. The bank of capacitors towrds the I/O ports get in the way.

Short answer: No, The orientation cannot be changed; the bracket only allows for one direction.

Long answer: I emailed Thermalright about the Neo4/XP-120 combo and they said the same thing, "you 'may' loose the first DIMM slot due to the heat pipes". I went with the XP-90 and installed it this weekend. It works great! I haven't OC'd it yet, too many programs to install, but i'm very impressed with the 90.

Yeah, I've heard the XP-90 is just as good. I just really wanted to use a 120mm fan. 🙁 Oh well, maybe I can get a modest OC using the other DIMMs hehe.

Any pics of your Xp-90 installation?

Thanks
