Anyone using using this combo? I know Thermal's website says it will work fine [without the necessity to bend things 😛], but I trust real world experience over such. Pictures, opinions and anything else is appreciated.

Also, if you're using a K8N-E Deluxe, what processor heatsink do you use and what's your average temps?

Regards,

Christopher

Well, I guess I'll be the first here to do so. I've just ordered the XP-120; I shall take pics and all of when it arrives and post my impressions.

Hey I got a K8N board. I have the 64 3200 XP. My board has a DUAL BIOS, which is kinda sweet...

Sorry though, I dont use air cooling. Just water.

If I turn the ac down at my hideout, the temp sits at 75 F on the processor. I got a Koolance case, which has a built in water system and temperature display. I have 3 different fan speeds and can display in both F and Celsius.

Its nice, I will get pics up soon.

Those Koolance temperatures are incorrect...I had an Exos-Al and the temperature displayed was always 20F lower than it actually was...most of the time it was 77F but in actuality it was 97F according to BIOS and other programs...

I noticed that you have the fan pulling air off the sink instead of blowing down , What kind of temps are you getting?

32c cpu/29c system in a 26ish C room [idle]. That'll probably drop more once I get panaflo 80mm's on the top and side instead of the crummy aspire x-dreamer II fans.

Load is hard to determine, but my best estimate would be no more than 37 - 39ish C cpu, 32 - 33ish C system. Once 100% cpu load is done, it drops back down rapidly. I still have fan direction testing to do, but it seems ideal.

M1A. I was contemplating H1A, but I don't want something loud. Of course, Panaflos have never been known to be loud..

Are my temps ok?

The reason that I asked about the fans is , I got the H1A and the casing on the fan is very large. I cant tell by looking at your pics how much space it will take up in my case. It shouldn't be a prob for me since I have a large case.

Did you look at my pictures, loda? wtf

Anyway, I've done a bit more since then and it looks even better now. There aren't any cables across the middle anymore and my airflow seems pretty great. I'll update the pics eventually..
