Xoom and Atrix are both sales flop, who isn't surprised?

Who cares? Even if no single device outsells the iPad, it can still easily be overhauled by Android collectively. You know, as has already happened in the phone space.

But even then Android is not racing away in sales terms. Apple controls iOS and is proprietary for its own devices, but Google has no sole smartphone. The only ones it has produced were via alliances with other manufacturers. Google has to ensure that Samsung, HTC, etc. don't migrate from its platform. Apple has no such worry.

Yes because Android smartphones are in so much trouble..........

HTC and Samsung don't own Android, and obviously can use any OS they want for their phones. A new mobile OS could come up that rivals both iOS and Android, and Google has no power to stop HTC and co. from migrating.

yeah but that's why people love it! It's the "windows" of the mobile world!

not really. Software companies can make money selling Windows apps, in the mobile market it's iOS developers making money.

Not really knowledgeable but I doubt Android is working out as well for developers.
