XMOD - new external sound card or portable enhancer?

I was looking for a new driver for my X-Fi. Typed in
www.x-fi.combut instead of a driver I found something completely new to me... Looks like a new X-Fi.
Please don't run me down if this is not news - but perhaps it is.
 
The X-Fi is due for an update; however, this doesn't look like it is it. Looks like the XMOD is just the X-Fi crystalizer and CMSS-3D in an external box, though, for those without X-Fi's. Pretty useless, IMO.
