XML question: Which should I use; XML schemas or DTDs?

DTD's are antiquated, stick w/ XML schemas, and stay away from MS' earlier proprietary schema format.

IIRC, schemas were originally MS's idea so there's early versions of schema formats that aren't W3C compatible.
