Hi there,
ok, i'm going to buy a present for myself this christmas ...

First off all

a new mouse for games

In your opinion, what is the best gaming mouse in the market? I have a MX1000 from Logitech, a great mouse for working and everything but for games ... i really don't like it. I want to get a mouse for FPS's . What do you advice? And Mouse Pads?

a new set of speakers and a soundboard

Well, i have an amp and 4 speakers in my computer room ( it's kind of small ) and i'm ... well, tired of having the amp in my desk. So i've been checking new speaker systems. I'm interested in the Z5500 from Logitech and a Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS ... what do you think? a good bet? Or should i keep the Pioneer amp , and the four speakers ( 2 technics and two pioneers with 10" woofer i think ) and get the soundboard?

a new monitor

I'm reaching the point where i want more than my 957MB from samsung. I want a 22" for work and for entertainment. So i reach the dead line with Mitsubishi 2070SB, IIyama HM204, Nec FE2111SB, Viewsonic P225fb and Philips 202P40. What do you think it's the best choice?

a steering wheel

i love racing games. i want colin mcrae 2005 and NFSU2 ... and i think getting a steering will make me scream off thrill in from of a computer ( i don't have a fast car ... it's a Mercedes Benz W201 ( 190 ) 2.0 Diesel from 1992 ehehe )
Thinking in the Momo Racing Wheel from Logitech ... what do you think? and i can use it on my PS2 with the GT3

Ok, thanks for helping me out people!

what is wrong with the mx1000??

Unless you are into playing for a clan why bother about being so serious?

For the mouse i would get mx510 its more of a gaming mose than the mx1000 mose pads heck i dunno i use old magazines lol

any for the speakers/sound card yeah the audigy 2 is good (the zs gamer comes with some game for a few $$ more) and the speakers if you not happy with them change them if they are fine then dont IMHO

Mouse: mx1000 is the best. but if it's the size/bulkiness that you don't like, go with a logitech mx510

Speakers: Z5500's are great, but the Klipsh Promedia Ultra 5.1's are better

Souncard: SB Audigy2 ZS Platinum (don't buy the Audigy4 or I'll hit you)

Monitor: Take the plunge w/me and get a Sony SDM-P234 :) :) .... or it's cheaper cousin the HP L2335 :)

Steering wheel: uh....they still make these? sorry I'm of no help here

Good luck and welcome to the forums :)
