THis is mostly just a hahaneenerneenerneener post in that I got everything for XMas, but here's the new computer I'll be getting.
And up until Friday or so, I'll have been a Mac user all my life.
AND I turn 18 on January 6th. :D

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice
Epox EP-9NPA-Ultra
Kingston 1GB PC3200 DDR
Western Digital Caviar 250 gig 7200 rpm
NEC ND-3550A
NEC Floppy
eVGA 7800GT
Dell 19" CRT
FSP Group 400W
Antec SLK3000b case

Seriously, this is the first time a PC will have been in my house. EVER.
YAY GAMING.

I'll have all the parts by Friday at the latest, and will be bring everything over to a friend's house on Saturday so I don't screw up what's for me.

Anything else anyone would suggest?
A ffriend of mine is also giving me a heatsink fan because he has no use for it, and I'm told that the one with the CPU sucks.

I built a gaming pc once and then i realized I didn't have time to game so I put more money into it to make a media center pc to record tv that I didn't have time to watch. Of course Windows Media Center 2005 sucks. So then I just it used it so I could keep AIM on all the time and put my powerbook to sleep. The graphics card broke, so I replaced it a month later after it sat off with a passively cooled geforce fx5200. So atleast now its quiet when I keep AIM on. I really wish I had that money back to pay off student loans or something.

I hope your mac to gaming pc story works out better than mine did, lol.

That SUCKS! D:
I have more time to game, so it should't be a problem for me right now.
Not until college starts, at least...

How old are you?

BTW: I just hooked up all my parts for my first build. I am loving the satisfaction of building it myself.

PS... Enjoy.

I hope to not ****** up and enjoy it.
Thanks. :D

Don't stress about everything that could go wrong think about when you get it all working how fun it will be to play all of modern games.

I saved up for my build sense Febuary and I was patient (well up untill December 1st. when I recieved the parts but could not put it together untill Christmas.) I seriously am overwhelmed with satisfaction on my build I have had little things go wrong but I fixed everything from no sound to snapping a HDD pin and everything in between.

Don't worry and Enjoy.
