Xmas in August

I visited my local Costco this morning to pick up some steaks for grilling, and I noticed they had their Christmas stuff out already: ornaments, wrapping paper, etc. :gift: :gift:

WTF? What happened to the good ole days when you waited until Black Friday to put this crap out? Last year, I remember the nearby mall decorating for Christmas right after Halloween.

It seems as though retail greed comes earlier and earlier each year.

There's a shop in Frankenmuth, MI called Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. It's about 25,000 sq. ft. of Christmas stuff, open all year.

There's a place like that around here too, to appease the tourist Outlet shopping crowd. But I find it crazy that regular stores/malls put this crap out in August.

Yes, it's rediculous. retailers are destroying any chance of my kids having memmories like I used to have.
