Xmas Gift for Mom

What is the best bang for your buck super budget laptop you can think of? My mom's old as hell Micron ~P75-133 range laptop just died. I could probably fix it but really don't want to deal with the hassle. The battery hasn't worked in years anyway so I figured I would just get her a new one.

I'm not looking to spend much at all. I would prefer that it has a Microsoft OS, wireless internet, etc. but it doesn't need to be able to do anything but surf the net and fire up solitaire... at the same time! Amazing I know. 😉

I should probably clarify. She's older. 7" screens might not work out too well for her. 🙂 Of course I haven't actually been following these and to be honest my first exposure to the EEE was in this forum a few minutes ago so perhaps a larger screen is available now?

If not, does anyone have any other bargain suggestions?

I'm thinking about getting my parents a laptop too, something just for surfing and video chat. How does this look for $450?
