just wondering if others are having their signal cut out. It started for me a few weeks ago, my signal will be solid then just drop.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Nope - you might want to see if anything was built/modified in your area - I notice a drop out at known spots in the country side...but nothing locally to the city.

No problems with my home receiver. On cold days the condensation on my window can mess with reception pretty badly.

Could be your location?

I use a portable unit so I can have it at home, in the car, and in the office with one subscription.
At my office, I constantly have to move my antenna to get a signal. It used to be fine up until a few months ago, but I have no idea what the change was.
But at home and in the car, it is still solid 99% of the time. Never drops out at home and only drops out in one place all the time in my car.

Nope.

Do you live or commute through a big city? XM doesn't get direct signals due to the skyline so they use repeater towers throughout those cities, some of which could be having issues.

My sirius cuts out every time i go under something, even a tree...it blows
Yeah, it's pretty much line of sight. Power lines can sometimes make my signal cut out. I think there's like a 4 second buffer too.

I've been driving from San Diego to Seattle over the past two days and I've been listening to Sirius the majority of the way up. No problems with it, but this is Sirius and not XM.

No problems with the signal. I would have to say that their customer service is outstanding, and I feel kind of bad. We bought a new car last January and it came with 6 months of XM service. We decided that we really didn't need XM service, so towards the end of the 6 months, I called to cancel so they wouldn't bill my credit card. I took the easy way out and LIED. I didn't want to hear any sales pitch or other offers so I told them my wife lost her job and XM wasn't in our budget. Three months later my wife tells me that the XM service is still working. After confirming that it was still on, I called customer service to see what was going on. The customer service rep said that they went ahead and extended the service for the rest of the year at no charge. Feeling bad about getting the service free, I fessed up to my LIE, told them that I really didn't want XM and I would pay them for the 3 months they gave me, but to turn off the service. Do you know what I received from XM in the mail? It wasn't a bill. They sent me a refund check for the 3 remaining months of their service. I called their customer service and told them the complete story again, and that I owe them money, not the other way around. The customer service rep said it would be easier if I would just cash the check. I'm not going to cash it so I just ran it through the shredder.

even at a fairly northern latitude my sirius never loses signal. bridges, underpasses, whatever, no problem.

the only time i lose signal is when i pull into a gas station with the overhang thing.

there's definitely no repeaters where i live
