XM Radio

Has anyone setup their XM inside a house using the standard antenna without, say running it to a window or any other place that might improve reception.

I'm thinking about buying the wife the delphi boombox, but want to minimize the cords and running any upstairs to the attic.

I'm going to do a test with an old Sony reciever I have, but thought I'd take a stab and see if anyone has done this.

thanks.

I have a home kit for my Sirius radio and I put the antenna next to my window for better reception. I'd imagine you'd have to do the same for XM.

Buuuuut...
It'd be in the bathroom and the window, which faces north is in the bedroom.

I hooked up my old Sony PnP up in the house with the old Shark tail antenna and it worked fine in my living room.
