XM Radio qustions

First off is it worth it?


Second. I wondering wather of not to get the home theater kit or the car kit. I mean does the home kit have a digital out so i can hook the radio to my speaks with a optical or tos?

Hows the sound? 100% digital cd quality?

Sound is great but not 100% digital when using an FM modulator in the car (still good enough for me). If your existing Head Unit will accept inputs then it is better. I don't think any have optical but I could be wrong. Regardless, yes, it's worth it!

The sound is not quite CD quality. It's much better than FM though.

I love it. I don't expect it to sound like a CD using an FM transmitter. It sounds very good, though.

Don't use an FM modulator if you can help it.

It's worth it. It's not quite cd quality but it's wayyyy better than radio quality. Just don't get FM modulation.

ANyhow, even with the FM modulator, Xm still sounds pretty good in my car. Thinking about upgrading to an Xm ready head unit though. XM is definetly worth it thoug, i never listen to regular radio anymore.
