XM radio here I come....

Shawn

Lifer
Just bought this and this for a total of $158. The stupid antenna is $50 of that.

Hopefully it'll be worth it. I'm getting bored of the same music, even though I have an mp3 head unit. 😛

I didn't. The tuner was $108, the antenna was $50. Almost half the cost of the tuner.

That's good to hear. I've been reluctant to switch over but I'm so sick of the same songs. Even with mp3s I only have so many. And the radio around here sucks between commercials, bad reception, and the fact that they play the top 10 songs over and over and over again! I finally caved. 😛

They said the same thing when Cable TV was introduced.....

True... but still.

Use that money you spend on your OWN music collection.

Why pay for HBO when you can use that money to just buy DVD's?

If you spend more than 1 hour/day in a car, driving in a place with no decent FM stations, you soon get tired of the same CD's... Unless you shell out much more to build a decent collection, XM or Sirius is not such a bad idea.

I'm tempted to buy Sirius, since you get the tuner and kit for free with a year subscription.

I've had XM for about 4 months now, and i really enjoy it so far. Most of the radio stations in my area are country stations, and I wanted a much better selection. Definitely worth the purchase.

I bought a Roady2, but i'm still waiting for my home kit.

I've had XM since the month they started. I love it!!! Changed my listening habits the same way cable/satellite TV changed the viewing habits of folks decades ago.
