Does the radio make a difference in audio quality? I can't find much on this on the Intarweb, or does the bandwidth make it suck enough that it doesn't matter?

Sure, you can correlate the sound to the quality of your stereo...

On my old $2000 stereo in a 2000 Ranger (Clarion, Kicker, Memphis Audio, JL Audio), my Skyfi sounded DAMN good w/ RCA inputs going to clarion head unit...

Whereas, on my Ford Taurus company car stock stereo w/ FM modulation, it sounds just like a strong FM station.

Satellite radio =

...edited for grammar...

I should have been clearer. I will be plugging it into my H/K 630 at home. I didn't know if the unit which receives the signal from the sat. makes a difference.

Satellite radio sounds far better if it's on a direct input to the stereo than an fm modulation even if it's hooked directly to the antenna. That being said a good stereo can make some difference.

should sound fine for you! My Skyfi sounds fine plugged into a Kenwood 5.1 receiver via AV's

Agreed. As long as it is directly connected to the stereo, the sound quality will be way above radio quality. Close to cd quality IMO.
