Hello,

I have a standard ATX motherboard with an expensive i7 990 and 12 GB of RAM and need more slots. I'd prefer not to buy a new processor, CPU cooler and memory so ideally I'd just replace the motherboard.

The http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3434#ov looks like a great choice but can't find it at any dealers (unless it is refurb and doesn't include any of the accessories, cables etc.

Any recommendations on a good motherboard that supports the i7 990 and has 9 slots? Most motherboards have the PCI 16 slots too close together. I have 3 slot video cards so I need plenty of space between them.

Your only other choice is possibly the ASUS P6T7 WS Supercomputer which was used in the European FASTRA2 supercomputer.

It's probably a little late to the game for a new X58 based motherboard so you will probably have to find a used one.

Forgot to mention the EVGA Classified X58 boards, which I think also have a large number of slots (6-7).
