I was just looking at the x1800s Available from Newegg, Monarch, Xtremegear, Allstarshop, and comp-u-plus. They are all only selling the XL with 256MB for 450+. I guess I am confused because thought the XL was always supposed to have 512MB of memory and either way the 512MB version was supposed to be $450.

AT Also Only benchmarked the XL with 512MB. With a price of $450. This is starting to look exactly how I thought it seemed. Everyone is benching and talking about the 512MB version but the only one released is the 256MB version. What bugs me is the release price for the 256MB is the same as the 512MB version appeared to be priced at.

the table says XL 256 Mb (not 512) and XT 512.

Caught me miss reading the 512 Bit memory ring as the 512MB of onboard memory. Doh!!

Okay that makes me happier. I really thought they were going to keep both of them at 512MB. But after reading around even the XT was going to have a 512MB version. thats disapointing I was hoping this would cause an usher into a new era of 512MB video cards. But if we are just dealing with the UBER card getting 512MB at the uber uber price range then who knows we might not see 512 become wildly available on upper mid range till R600/G80.
