XIRCOM CREDITCARD Wireless Ethernet Adapter? Need some help!

Xircom was bought by Intel where they ended support. Intel suggest I use the Cisco 340 Wireless drivers by forcing it. It works as I can detect networks but I notice the signal would be excellent when connected than suddenly go to low and I can't connect to the internet.

Any suggestions?

I'm running Windows XP on a Satellite 1805.
