you can't say it looks cheaply made just from the picture. you need to actually use it to know.

It also copied the Cooler Master Stacker name...so what? Case manufacturers copy each other a lot...I'm not even sure all case manufacturers even make their own cases. That's the same way with power supplies.

to OP: buy one and find out...then tell us how it is.

Yes I can tell a lot from the pix. And that Xion is cheaply made. Looking just at the inside you can't tell it from a cheap case made in the '70s. All screws - no ease of use features - just a lot of drive bays. Kind of like the Codegen 8000 series.

That rear fan grille is going to be really restrictive, to the tune of 40% or so open (60% restricted). You'll want to dremel that thing out and use a hamburger-style wire grille. I wouldn't be surprised if the front grille is also half-arsed.

lian li's are expensive and have no features

That's why I don't buy Lian Li. Anything decent from them is generally way over my budget. Thick aluminum and fine execution doesn't make up for a dated '70s design.

I think you get the look and the name of the Stacker from Cooler Master, but none of the features/ stability/ management/ ease of use for actually owning a Stacker from Cooler Master. It looks flimsy just by looking at it. Thin aluminum, probably loud fans.

I mean if you mod it, sure it might be nice but, the frame will still be flimsy and the brand still sucks. I'm not knocking you if you buy it but, there's a vast difference between a case like this and a Lian Li. Lian Li is all about build quality, not plastic screw-less bays. This case has neither quality NOR plastic screw-less bays. It's just a shell of a high quality case for a fraction of the cost.

Basically, buying it wouldn't do you anything except trick a few people at LAN parties into thinking you have a Stacker.

I'd rather have my $50 Centurion 5 so that people know I'm poor with taste, than get a Stacker wanna-be that means I'm poor without taste.

Sorry if my post sounds blunt, I'm little upset right now.

Considering I know the OP personally, I need to state that he's going for something with good cooling. His current Cooler Master Cavalier 3 is being a b!tch to his E6600 and 7800GT, so he's in the market for a new case ~50 +/- 20 USD.

Basically, I'm planning on modding whatever I choose to get with new fans, cut out the fan holes and replace with fan grills, take off doors, etc.

To me, the knockoff Stacker looks like a good option once I do all that.

Features, such as screwless bays and clip expansion slots, really do not matter to me. I am familiar with the perks of these features, and they just don't matter that much to me when I could get this case and have a ton of room for modding and cooling purposes at a fair price.

And I'm not sure where stability comes in when talking about a computer case. I mean I understand it houses the components I spend good money on, but I'm not planning on dropping it or using it as a seat or anything.

And another thing, in the grand scheme of things, all of these brands are no-name brands. I mean, who knows of Raidmax, Lian Li, Coolermaster, or Thermaltake, besides us hard core computer users?

Xion probably doesn't make this case, but rather, the same company that made the TT Armor probably manufactured at least a part of it.

I took at look at xion's webpage, they say the case is steel (which means it should have good stability) but that its 9.8kg which is the weight I would expect from an aluminum case (though the front is aluminum), this suggests the metal may be very thin.

Bump for more opinions on this case. I'm thinking of purchasing it, as a "poor man's" CoolerMaster Stacker-equivalent.

Btw, I LIKE screws. I hate fancy plastic snap/slide/whatever drive retention mechanisms. Why? Because they aren't as secure, they vibrate, get loose, wear out, etc. Gimme good ole screws anyday!
