So I just received my Xigmatek HDT S1283 fan/heatsink cpu cooler today. And after I installed it and everything works great. Except for one thing is that I checked the fan speed and it only runs at 1450rpm . I seem can't figure out how to set it go higher I checked the spec for the S1283 and it can run as high as 2200RPM. I looked in my bios (Asus P5K/EPU board) and i see the Asus Q-Fan speed controller but even after i use that it still runs at 1400rpm or lower like 950rpm. So if anyone knows how to set it run higher for Xigmatek HDT S1283 any help would be appreciated.

Is it a four pin connector? If that's the case, then it's running at a speed your motherboard thinks it should run at.

Yup, it's a 4-pin. The thing is the spec of the fan on review sites said its max at 2200rpm and 1440 rpm seems like too low. Yea, it won't run higher than 1440rpm or around that, I dont use Q-fan. So you said newer models of the S1283 will run higher? is that what u saying? or what model u talking about?

Trust me, you don't want a 120 mm fan spinning at 2200 rpm. It's gonna make you deaf.
