Xigmatek HDT-S1283
ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120
I'm thinking of building a Phenom system, and despite my preference toward top-down coolers, I have to worry that a typical top-down cooler might not cut it for an overclocked Phenom. Certainly Ultra-120 was a consideration, but after having quite a few (mostly bad ones) I'd like to try a different one.
I noticed the above two are very positively reviewed around the net, so I figured I'd ask if anyone has a first-hand experience. Just by glance:
- Advantage Xigmatek: Direct heatpipe touch might - more of my curiosity.
- Advantage ZEROtherm: The build looks more solid.
- Advantage Xigmatek: In case I change my mind, it will fit in Intel rig without taking the mobo out. Also it looks like I can use a fan of my choice.
- Advantage ZEROtherm: Got an extra heatpipe (4 vs Xigmatek's 3), and it looks way cool.
To be frank, none of the above really matters. I just want to know which one performs better. 😀
