XGPon coming to verizon FiOS

xgpon give fios 10 Gbps to each local fiber hub. a fiber hub services 30 homes. that works out to about 330 mbps for each home.

it's amazing how far fios is ahead of the competition.

i have fios and currently have the 25/15 plan, i can't wait for xgpon to come to my neighborhood.

Actually, tiny neighborhoods in tiny towns are more likely to get FiOS because Verizon can install it without a million NIMBY's throwing a shit-fit.

Edit: Assuming you live in a relatively populated area. If you live in a flyover state, all bets are off.
