Looking at a dell vostro 1400 right now and the default screen is 14.1 inch wide screen xga lcd display with TrueLife?.

For $40 more I can get 14.1 inch Wide Screen XGA+ LCD Display with TrueLife?

Is it worth it?

Do it

XGA is 1024*768, kind of abysmal for a 14" screen
XGA+ is 1280*1024, much better

I personally am trying to track down a cheap SXGA+ (1440*1050) for my 12" PowerBook. That thing would be SICK with that resolution

The standard WXGA is 1280X800 vs the 1440x900 of the WXGA+.
I have a WXGA+ screen on my D620 with 14" screen and I really enjoy it. The WXGA resolution IMO is fine on a 12" screen, but isn't that great on a larger one.
