I'm laptop shopping and have seen these different options for screens on the laptop (all are TFT). What is the difference between these? UXGA is the most expensive, then SXGA+ then XGA.

And then which one should I get? Is UXGA $100 better than SXGA+ or $150 better than XGA?

XGA, UXGA and SXGA are the native resolutions of the laptop's LCD screen.

XGA is 1024x768

SXGA is 1280x1024

UXGA is 1600x1200

If you run primarily 1024x768, then get the XGA, the display will be sharper that way.

Getting a display that has a higher native resolution means that running 1024x768 will be scaled down and filtered, hence a little fuzzier/blurrier and not as sharp.
