I would like to know if the GAMER EDITION 6600Gt and the non gamer edition 6600GT which are both PCI-EXPRESS will work with SLI?

They both have SLI interfaces. I have a friend who wants to sell both to me. I read in some reviews that both cards need to have the same specs?

I am confused.
