So..my GTX 285 has been choking for awhile.. Pixelates and artifacts with 0 overclock while maintaining good temperatures...plenty of power to back up the card as well.

Finally going to bite the bullet and call it as bad VRAM on the card.. starting the RMA process as soon as XFX gets back to me... already completed all their recommended steps. Also my GTX260 performed fine.

Maybe I'll get a 5870;p I've heard it has happened.

Will keep you updated.

Friday 3/19/10 - Requested RMA after Driver change did not help .
Monday 3/22/10 - RMA approved-
Monday 3/22/10 - Sent same day Via Fedex Two Day Express. Wednesday Delivery-

Good luck with the process, XFX are meant to be pretty good - never had to RMA a product of theirs personally but some friends /colleagues have 🙂
