Finally, for those who want multi-monitor support without breaking the bank:

Single Link Active Display Port Cable < $30. Max. resolution 1920x1200.

Hopefully the next step is a sub $100 passively cooled 28nm HD7670 and dual link active display port cables < $30.

Even though I personally don't have a need for a card like this, it's always cool to see the various niche cards.

Finally? I think that cards been out for awhile.

Ya but I think it was close to $179-199 in price.

It's finally becoming affordable to have a single slot card that supports 5 displays at a price approaching $100. I can't recall any other card that can do so. HD5770 is also not a slow card. You are basically paying $20 extra over a $99 HD5770/6770 to have 5 display support.

2 or more of them in crossfire would change that. It does have two crossfire connectors so you can keep chaining them together.

I agree even though the 5K series doesn't scale as well as the 6K two of them would be pretty potent. Plus you have very nice multi-monitor support. I'm thinking the space and probably power savings are what's making these a good deal.

For the green team, Galaxy has much the same thing

Nvidia's graphics cards are limited to a dual monitor configuration, but Galaxy was able to overcome this obstacle by using third-party controllers developed by IDT.

The first of the two cards showcased by Galaxy is called the GTX 560 Display5 and uses the same printed circuit board (PCB) design as the GTX 460 WHDI and GTX 460 Razor.

Unlike the other two models in Galaxy's lineup, however, the Display5 comes with a dual-link DVI, a DisplayPort and four mini-HDMI outputs, which can support up to five monitors simultaneously.

The displays attached to the mini-HDMI ports can be combined into a single monitor and the card supports resolution of up to 5040x1050@60Hz, when running in a three-monitor mode, or 5760x900@60Hz, in a four-monitor mode.
This came in an email from our Galaxy rep:

powercolor had an 5770 eyefinty5 card years ago, but obviously not at this price.

nvidia isnt supporting anything outside of surround on sli. while there is some compatibility with displayport in the gf1xx series silicon, none of it is native and each partner has to come up with their own implementation. Galaxy and Zotac have 3+ output cards but they are all lower resolution than any eyefinity setup, because they are splitting the bandwidth hence the max 1680x1050 when using 3+ monitors.

that galaxy card is kind of goofy and counter intuitive, since for productivity you would want at least 19x12 on multiple monitors(which it cant do), and for gaming you would want way more power than a 560 (5770 eye 5 is worse for gaming, but clearly its a productivity card).
