Xfx Geforce temperature

My xfx 6600gt is runing about 56 degrees idle according to everest... is this temperature too high?

I'd imagine not...my 6800GT has never idled under 58°C unless I have the thermostat set insanely low.

And it's been running fine since I got it in July.

I have the same card, it idles around 52-3C so I would say you are ok. As a side, it seems like they upgraded the fan on the new cards as seen here.
