XFX Geforce 6800nu acting wierd- help appreciated

I got an AGP XFX 6800nu off ebay last week. Card works fine but it comes up as pci port and not agp... good side is that it unlocks without artifacts but if I play a game for too long that card freezes and my computer restarts. Anyway any info on the pci problem is appreciated.
 
sounds like you don't have motherboard chipset drivers installed (without these, the AGP slot will be treated as though it is a pci slot).
