XFX Geforce 6800GT flickers !!

I got some flickering on my XFX GEFORCE 6800GT 256 MB

I dont understand the problem, because it only flickers when i use the DVI-1 slot! When I use the DVI-2 slot the flicker disappears!!
The flickers only appears on the right side of my LCD. Ive tried to clock down my card, with no result.

I only got one card installed.

Im running Viewsonic VP201b, with the latest nvidia drivers.

Im on 60 hertz.

My computer looks like this:

* Asus a8n sli delux
* XFX Geforce 6800GT (256mb)
* AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (Winchester S939)
* OCZ 512MB EL Platinum Edition R2 (PC-3200 DDR 512 (2-2-2-5) 400Mhz )

Does anyone seem to understand why ?

Thanks!

Welcome🙂

mine works great and never had any trouble out of it. im a very happy XFX customer.

Sounds like he just got a bad one. RMA my friend.

Yes, Ive got that impression!

Anyway, Im going to reclaim a new card from my shop.

What brand does the best job ?

Is the MSI card any good ? Ive heard that the fan on that card is not as noise as the XFX.

I had an MSI GeForce card once that flickered. Had to use the dvi-vga adapter to stop it from flickering. Actually, that flickering was caused by the air conditioning in the house. Go fig. When the air was on, furnace running, display flickered. When it was off, had a clean crisp display.
