What is the minimum requirment for this card (power supply wise). A friend told me its 450 accordin the packaging box and on the site it says 300 watt. can someone clear this up, thanlks
 
450 for a 6600 gt? Your friend is utterly and completely wrong, unless he means the "450 watt" PSU in a $10 junk case.

Here's an AnandTech article under the Video tab (at the top of this page) that lists PSU load for the 6600 non-GT: 207 watts under load

Power supply quality is important, but even 300 watts should be enough with a good PSU like an Antec.
