So I emailed XFX on a SUNDAY requesting a DVI -> HDMI converter for my hd4870. A rep emailed me back in 30 MINUTES...on a Sunday...on a long weekend. I had my adapter delivered on Thursday (no charge). I've never had service like this from a company.

Nice when a company follow up on the promise. Sadly this has become the exception and not the norm. On the ATI side I have always gotten xfx because they did me a solid like this a few years ago. Reward them in the future.

How about this one: almost 5 months after buying my HIS x1900GT it died. After returning it, they sent me a replacement - only it was an x1950xtx. :) I think Newegg did the exchange, though.

I always tell people that if they are getting an ATI branded GPU to go with XFX. If they are getting an Nvidia branded GPU to go with EVGA. They are the two top-end companies in my opinion which provides the absolute best customer satisfaction and experiences out of all of them. They will both be around for a very long time IMHO.

I'm glad you had a great experience!

That's what happens when you are an official member of that organization.

Ya I received the same treatment from XFX, neither my mobo or 5770s came with a crossfire bridge so I asked xfx support and had it 3 days later. no questions asked and for free.

IMO, can't beat xfx support.

getting an email from the tech support on a sunday over memorial day weekend, 30 minutes after he sent them one asking for help, is epic. that is of course, until you think about the fact that he might have just sent it from his crackberry instead and processed the request on tuesday xD

It seems that XFX is improving. There were some horror stories floating around here a couple months ago.

Well they seem to make good cards. This is my first XFX(5850) and its pretty impressive so far.
You can just walk into Catalyst Overdrive center, slam engine and memory sliders full to the right, press apply and boom it works nicely overclocked and still quiet.

Good to hear positive feedback on manufacturers for a change. Enjoy your card OP

Seems like xfx is great till you try and return a card they no longer stock(like a 4890). Im still on the fence about them, i've seen to many people return OC 4890's(coil whine issues) and either be offered a not overclocked 4890 or even a 4870, not cool when you paid for the OC edition. I hope my 4890 keeps going strong and i dont need to find out myself.
